“It’s Time to Switch Things Up”

“If we want to use the new year as a reason, so be it, just don’t do the same ‘ole, same ‘ole.” – #ToddCPittman

Yep, I Said It!

. . . and so did Mark 2:22 (NKJV): And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”

“I don’t know about you but for me, 2019 was a year of advancement. I have lived through many seasons but the season of victory is where I want to stay. What I realized this season is that – in line with Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity – we can’t keep doing the same thing over and over again, and expect different results. We’ve got to change our thoughts and stop listening to the negativity. As I have shared before, just because we are predestined for victory does not guarantee a free ride to success! We have to put in some spiritual and mental work. Let’s switch up our way of thinking and start rejecting NEVER. You know what I mean, we will NEVER get married, we will NEVER get that job, we will NEVER kick that addiction, we will NEVER live a healthy life, and we will NEVER get out of debt. New blessings are on the way, but our old way of living, thinking, and acting won’t hold the gifts God has in store for us. It’s time for a change.” – #ToddCPittman

“We Are Operating in Standing Room Only”

“We’ve got too much to do to entertain folks who just want to lay around and do nothing.” – #ToddCPittman

Yep, I Said It!

. . . and so did Psalm 118:1-5 (NKJV) 1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 2 Let Israel now say, “His mercy endures forever.” 3 Let the house of Aaron now say, “His mercy endures forever.” 4 Let those who fear the Lord now say, “His mercy endures forever.” 5 I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.

“I think it’s safe to say that we have all felt overwhelmed in the past if not feeling that way right now! Look, we all feel that heavy load – you know the weight of work deadlines, financial responsibilities, and even the fear of starting our lives after high school or college – but it’s something that accompanies us in our destiny walk. The key to enduring those pressures is to continually give God praise no matter what burdens we bear. Let’s show Him we got this so He can elevate us to the next level. We also need to recognize that when our plate is at full capacity, a.k.a. ‘Standing Room Only’, we should surround ourselves with folks who are helping to carry that load, not those who add extra weight. It’s a new year with new opportunities, but with those new opportunities will come new haters and new problems. Let’s welcome the opportunities along with problems, cast the dead weight that’s tagging along and slowing us down, and remember to give God thanks at all times. Let’s stop complaining about things being ‘too much’ and take one thing at a time and after our load is lightened and we can celebrate success, let’s cease from too much self-gratification and give praise where praise is due.” – #ToddCPittman

“We Were Set Up!”

Yep, I Said It!

. . . and so did Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

“From the beginning, someone pointed the finger at us, said we were the responsible party, and it was all a plan.” – #ToddC Pittman

“For many folks, the words ‘I was set up’ has a negative connotation, but let’s not follow that thought pattern. The scriptures remind us that we were set up before we were even formed in our mother’s womb. We are reminded that we were set up to succeed, set up to win, and we are provided the tools to battle against addictions, lust, deception, and other things that lead us down a path to nowhere. The debate sometimes associated with this reminder is that if we were set up for success then can’t we just sit back and chill? No way! Predestined does not mean a guaranteed outcome! You see, God knows the anointed outcome He has placed on our lives, but we have the free will to bring that outcome to fruition, He will not force it. So when we face roadblocks during our destiny walk let’s remember that we have the free will to either make the choice to give in to that addiction, violate our relationships, or deceive others to get what we want – or we can choose to be better students of understanding His wisdom and His way. Point blank, we can choose the latter and receive His illumination of the path to our destiny or we can continue to make the same choices on our own understanding and stumble deeper into more disappointment and disobedience. The choice is ours!” – #ToddCPittman

My First Blog Post

Ministering to others while ministering to myself!

“It’s a Great Day to Be Alive!”

— #ToddCPittman

This is the first post on my new blog. For more than 10 years, through social media, worship service, and fellowship, I have shared my experience and messages on how the scriptures apply to our everyday lives. How my messages are communicated and when they are communicated are done so as the Spirit moves me. I know one thing, every day is a GREAT DAY TO BE ALIVE! This season a family member gifted me with this blog and encouraged me to expand His Word through it.  I’m just getting this new blog going, so stay tuned for more.
