…and so did 1 Corinthians 16:13 (ESV) – (13) Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
“The scriptures this morning reminded me of how weak I was when I thought I was powerful and how poor I was even when I thought I never needed anything. You see, my perception was blurred by living out manhood according to the world’s definition and not by God’s. Throughout the Bible, the obedience of God is crucial in defining a man. A true man is one who lives and treats others according to God’s Word. There’s no shame in my game to admit that it took me a minute to get back on course with God. I can only share with others what I have learned through His Word and that is that as men we have to stand strong in our faith to prevent falling off course into the world’s materialistic culture and definition of profit and power. We must never put anything in this world over God and our family and the way to do that is by trusting in God’s Word and putting Him first in all that we do. When we walk with the courage and strength of His Word we will remain in faith and oppose all opposition around us. Bottom line: Real men put Christ first and are cognizant of the fact that Jesus and our family are the foundation of our life!” – #ToddCPittman
