“Our Mess Is Our Test”

“Troubled times are coming, if not already here. But we need to get excited to take part in suffering for God’s glory because our victory will show the world He is real!” – #ToddCPittman

Yep, I Said It!

…and so did 1 Peter 4:12-13 (NLT) – (12) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through as if something strange were happening to you. (13) Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.

“When stuff comes our way and our life seems to be turned upside down, the scriptures remind us not to judge God’s character or His trustworthiness by the quality of our circumstances. Look, we need to expect trials and tribulations. We need to expect that God’s purpose for our life includes suffering. The key is to not only EXPECT hard times but to grow through any mess that comes our way with a Christ-like attitude. When it seems like we are being hit from every direction that means our enemies are working overtime because they see the amazing things God is about to do in our lives! Remember that the darkest hour takes place just before the light of dawn! So, let’s hold onto that prophetic hope we talked about yesterday! We’ve got to do our part and stay on course! We’ve got to continue to declare God’s Word over our circumstances. There is nothing He allows in our life that we can’t overcome, so let’s stay on path and thank Him for walking with us through both our good and difficult seasons.” – #ToddCPittman

  1. GM Todd! Thank you for the encouraging message. I believe that life’s adversities are the spiritual equivalent of fitness equipment. Daily challenges are the ‘work-outs’ that enable us to ‘build up’ our character and develop into increasingly wise and resourceful individuals. Just like the fitness gurus tell us, “No pain? No gain!”
